On January 6, 1766, the first tree was felled for the building of Salem. The town established on the chosen site was given the name of Salem (from "Shalom", Hebrew meaning "Peace", after the Canaanite city mentioned in the Book of Genesis) chosen for it by the Moravians' late patron Count Zinzendorf. Finally, lots were drawn to select among suitable sites for the location of a new town. Some residents expanded to a nearby settlement, called Bethania, in 1759. This town, despite its rapid growth, was not designed to be the primary settlement on the tract. On November 17, 1753, the first settlers arrived at what would later become the town of Bethabara. The land, just short of 99,000 acres (400 km 2), was subsequently purchased from John Carteret, 2nd Earl Granville. He called this area "die Wachau" ( Latin form Wachovia) after the ancestral estate of Count Nicolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf. The origin of the town of Salem dates to 1753, when Bishop August Gottlieb Spangenberg, on behalf of the Moravian Church, selected a settlement site in the three forks of Muddy Creek. The city of Winston-Salem is a product of the merging of the two neighboring towns of Winston and Salem in 1913. Followers of the Moravian Church had interacted with Cherokees. However, sometimes we want to split one big SQL file into a few smaller ones, e.g., for better readability or to share some files with an init data between modules. You just need to add a file named import.sql in your classpath root and set either create or create-dropas your property. Expressions evaluate to a single value for a single layer property at a particular instant in time. Common Expressions in After EffectsĪn expression is a brief piece of JavaScript code that can be plugged into animated properties in After Effects applications. They not only provide many creative possibilities, but they may also streamline your motion design process. Although they are by no means necessary, expressions come in quite handy when attempting to replicate effects like inertia or bouncing without having to specify a ton of extra keyframes. By connecting the expressions to the numerical parameters, the expression controllers in the Effects & Presets panel may assist you in better controlling the expressions. You may begin forming connections between a property and other layers when you write an expression on that property. They may be as small as a single word or integer, or very complicated, including chapters and paragraphs of code. There are many phrases that already exist and have for many years, but finding them might be challenging if you aren't sure what you're searching for. Because of this, developing and modifying the code should be a breeze. They can create adaptable rigs and automate repetitive processes.
